The 6 Healing Sounds: Ancient Breathwork for Emotional Balance and Deep Sleep

 Let’s talk about something truly simple that can completely change how you feel—in just one minute a day. Cause you know that in my world, I’m all about 1-minute resets! Small resets that work BIG TIME!

Ever notice how when you worry, you feel a pit in your stomach? Or when you’re sad & grieving there’s a ton of weight on your chest?  That’s because emotions aren’t just in your head—they’re stored in your body, sometimes lingering on even years after you experienced them!

But you know what? I'm here to let you know: you can TAP, MOVE, and BREATHE them out for good! Let's focus on breathing today.

Your breath is one of the most powerful tools for clearing out emotional weight. It's so powerful that, in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Taoism, there’s a whole  ancient breathwork practice that does exactly that. It’s called The 6 Healing Sounds, and trust me—once you experience how good it feels to release stress in one breath, you’ll never go back.

It’s so powerful, that it’s the first practice I give  my clients who come to me complaining of sleepless/ restless nights. Can you guess what happens when they do this practice?

It’s actually, mind blowing! Every single client, reports back that they’ve been able to sleep though the night, every night within a week! Let that sink in for a bit!

 

'Ok, so how do they work?" you ask. Well, it's easy. In TCM and Taoism, it’s believed that your organs store different emotions. Each major organ is connected to a specific emotion and, with the right breath and sound, you can literally exhale all that stuck energy. Think of it like a deep emotional detox—without the green juice. πŸƒ

Let’s start with your heart.

Your heart is the center of joy, love, and happinessbut when its energy gets blocked? Whew. That’s rough! That’s when we start feeling:

πŸ’” Bitterness (“Why do I always have to be the bigger person?”)
😀 Pettiness (“She didn’t even appreciate what I did for her!”)
😞 Exhaustion & Anxiety (“I just feel drained all the time…”)
πŸ’­ Overthinking the past (“Did I say the wrong thing? Should I have done something different?”)
πŸ’” Restlessness & Insomnia (So tired but can’t relax? That’s your heart energy talking.)

1️.Find a quiet space. No fancy setup—just a comfy seat and a minute to yourself.
2️.Place your hands over your heart. Close your eyes. Smile wide and feel the whole world smiling with you! Feel the rise and fall of your chest as you gently breathe..
3️.Inhale deeply through your nose. Keep on smiling!
4️.Exhale through your mouth with a long “HAAAW”. Imagine all the bitterness, anxiety, and exhaustion melting away as you breathe out.
5️.Repeat a total of 6 times. With each exhale, you'll feel lighter, calmer, and more open to joy.

✨ Your breath is the fastest, easiest way to release stress. A shorter inhale through the nose and a longer exhale through the mouth  switches your body out of stress mode and into relaxation mode—instantly.

✨ Sound vibrations move energy. Pair the breathing with a sound- vibration - and it activates the vagus nerve; calms the nervous system and pushes out all the emotional trash your organs have been holding onto. The sound vibration literally shakes up stuck emotions and moves them out.

πŸ’§The  Kidneys, hold onto → Fear, Insecurity, & Irrational Anxiety →their  healing sound is " CHOOOOO" ( like blowing out a candle). 
✨ Triple Burner (body temp regulator , stress relief & immune support) →       holds onto general feelings of Overwhelm, Restlessness  →the healing sound is "HEEEE" (like a breathy smile).

Each sound is like a reset button—like clearing emotional clutter so you don’t have to carry it anymore.
