This blog post is for all my women out there who are eating clean, doing their HIIT workouts, haven't had carbs or sweets in weeks and still have a muffin top!
Yep, I see you, I was you and here's what I learnt and how I changed things around!
But first, I have a question for you. Are you the kind of person who worries constantly? Who tends to overthink every minute detail?
If you answered YES, listen up. Did you know that EXCESSIVE WORRY and OVERTHINKING can cause INDIGESTION, BLOATING, and SLOW DOWN YOUR METABOLISM? And so create chronic inflammation , which means you get stuck with that bloated tummy of yours.
Think about this: Have you ever had a meal and found yourself bloating so fast like there was a balloon inside your belly? Then wondered WHY IS THIS HAPPENINING??????
Oh, it must've been the bread, or the cheese, or whatever was on your plate !
And you find yourself having eliminated, dairy, gluten, fruit, whatever but you're STILL BLOATED?
I'm not alone in this right?
So, here's why. Scientifically speaking, you're probably running on CHRONIC HIGH CORTISOL LEVELS. That's your stress hormone, meaning YOUR STRESS IS ALWAYS TURNED ON. Your nervous system completely dysregulated.
So if your body thinks it's in constant danger, it's going to block the functions that aren't vital. Digestion is one of them, your body thinks you are in danger so it goes into survival mode and uses up all its energy to fight the danger.
Only...that danger never comes, yet your still in survival mode.
And this is why, you , me, and so many of my female clients find themselves either gaining weight, or not able to lose it, even though they think they're doing everything right!
So, LISTEN UP my friend, make no mistake
YOUR STRESS, ANXIETY & OVERWHELM COULD BE CAUSING YOUR BLOATING & INDIGESTION!
If you are constantly overthinking, have a burdened mind, then changing your diet alone ISN'T GOING TO HELP.
I've seen this with myself as well as many of my clients.
Unless you find a way throughout the day to UNLOAD YOUR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS and RELEASE THOSE THOUGHTS THAT ARE BURDENING YOU, the minute they happen, then I'm sorry to tell you but your dream of living a symptom free life , will remain just a dream.
My husband likes to say " How can I stop worrying, I don't have a magic switch!"
Lucky for him and you , I DO!
Energy/body/somatic work are how you release stagnant emotions and thoughts which literally weigh heavily on you!
